The Metro Manila Subway is the Philippines’ first underground rail system, designed to ease the city’s infamous traffic congestion. The 36-kilometer subway will connect the northern and southern parts of the metro, significantly reducing travel time for millions of commuters.

The subway, with its 15 stations, will run from Quezon City to NAIA Terminal 3, providing faster and more convenient access to major business districts, residential areas, and airports.

Currently, Metro Manila ranks as one of the most congested cities in the world. The subway is expected to reduce the travel time between Quezon City and Taguig from over 1 hour to just 30 minutes.
